Swede imprisoned for torturing renovators
A man in southern Stockholm was sentenced on Tuesday for torturing a man who renovated his house - because he was dissatisfied with the work.
Not satisfied with the quality of renovations, the house owner in Botkyrka, southern Stockholm, took matters into his own hands.
His response was to kidnap and torture the workers' chief contact person.
On Tuesday the man was sentenced to five years in prison for aggravated abuse and abduction.
The man has denied the charges, but the district court ruled that the victim's testimony was credible and the evidence convincing. Proof of the crime included bloody tracks along the floorboards of the house.
