A 17-year-old boy in central Sweden was charged on Thursday after stealing a cup of money from a woman begging on the street.

When police caught the boy, they found that he had hauled in 62 kronor ($9.35), reported the Borås Tidning newspaper.

"He said that was all he took," the prosecutor told the paper.

The boy was charged with theft, meaning he faces either fines or juvenile community service if convicted.

"He walked up and took her cup, and when she discovered it she tried to grab it back," said district prosecutor Katarina Sergi. She said the two fought over the cup until the boy managed to rip it from her hands and ran away.
