Boy, 16, 'strangled neighbour to death'
Police in northern Germany arrested on Tuesday a 16-year-old boy for allegedly strangling his teenage neighbour to death.
Lisa Marie B., 18, from Tornesch in Schleswig-Holstein, was reported missing by her parents last Wednesday.
She is thought to have gone missing after visiting a friend, then failed to show up at work the next day.
Police launched a search for her using dogs and a helicopter and on Monday evening officers found her body in a field.
The state prosecutor in Itzehoe said it appeared the young woman was grabbed from behind and strangled.
Her 16-year-old suspected attacker remained in a youth detention centre after being arrested.
