Grey skies to cloud NYE parties in much of Spain
The last day of 2013 is set to be a dreary affair for much of Spain with the Canary Islands and the south-east of the country experiencing the best end-of-year weather.
Spain's national weather agency AEMET says clouds and rain will be the theme of the day in much of the north and west of the peninsular.
The provinces of Asturias, Lugo and A Coruña can all expect a bit of of a battering while Cantabria is also bracing for heavy rain.
Rain is also forecast for Galicia, Navarre, La Rioja, the north of Extremadura, and the north-east of Castile and León.

There is also a possibility of rain as the day goes on in the west of Aragon, Huelva, the rest of Extremadura and the north east of Castile–La Mancha.
Elsewhere it will be a grey day. expect along along the Mediterranean coast where the weather should be a far bit brighter.
The Canaries, meanwhile, are now basking in mid-winter sun with the country's highest temperature expected to be 23 degrees in Tenerife.
Madrid can expect a maximum of 10 degrees while in Barcelona that will be a pleasant 16 degrees.
