The Germans celebrate the holiday season better than most and this week's Local List is the perfect recipe for a traditional Christmas, with ten top tips to enjoy the festive period like a German.

The Local has teamed up with YouTube channel Get Germanized to tip our hat to the country's biggest Christmas customs as well as some less well known ones, including gnomes, pyramids and a kidnapping demon.
