Woman on trial for 12m Justin Bieber fraud

A woman in Norway is being tried for defrauding Justin Bieber fans of nearly twelve million Norwegian kroner ($1.9m) by taking money for concert tickets which she never delivered.
The woman, a 28-year-old from Telemark, replied to advertisements posted on Norwegian sites from people wanting tickets for the teen idol's 2012 Oslo concert and then talked her victims into transferring upwards of 3540 kroner ($600) for tickets into a bank account she controlled. "My daughter was devastated and was crying for days when it dawned on us that we had been tricked," said one of the women who fell victim to the scam. The trial, which also covers a long list of other scams, began on Tuesday.
