Robert, 51, has become notorious over the last three decades for climbing the world's biggest landmarks and tallest buildings, including the Eiffel Tower and Sydney Opera House, often without a police permit, but always with a crowd of open-mouthed onlookers.

In May 2012, he took on the 231-metre (758 ft) First building, also in the La Défense commercial district in the French capital.

As well as being arrested countless times, the 'French Spiderman' has had broken several bones in numerous falls over the years.

But here's something else to give you pause as you watch this video of him climbing the 185-metre (607-ft) GDF Suez Tower on October 3rd.

Robert has inner ear damage, suffers from vertigo and doctors have told him he is "66-percent disabled."
