The coffin was delivered to his parents' home in Vegårshei, south of Oslo.

Tjostolv Moland, a former soldier, was found dead in his cell on  August 18 after spending four years in a Congo jail for allegedly murdering his Congolese driver.

Moland's cellmate Joshua French, who was also found guilty of the murder, remains in prison in the Congo.
