Svennis to sell 'haunted' Swedish mansion
Sweden's most famous football coach Sven-Göran 'Svennis' Eriksson has put his haunted, Nobel Literature Prize spawning, twelve-room mansion up for sale, asking for a neat 40 million kronor ($6 million).
Real estate agency Fastighetsbyrån put the listing up this week, boasting an aerial view of the expansive Björkefors property, which has its own marina and pier by Lake Fryken. The accompanying land covers more than six acres.

The local Nya Wermlands Tidning newspaper reported that the property in central Sweden was worth 6 million kronor when Svennis purchased it, but extensive renovations and the addition of buildings and top-notch sporting facilities had added value to it since.
The main mansion was originally built in the early 1800s and is said still to be haunted by its one-time owner Karl Johan Tjeder. The latter reportedly provided Nobel Literature Prize winner Selma Lagerlöf with inspiration for the evil character Sintram in her book Gösta Berling's Saga.
Svennis' estate agent Stefan Karlsson said that the one-time England football manager had decided to sell following the death of his mother, who had lived on the estate. Svennis' father no longer resided there, and his own children were grown up and spent a lot of time abroad.

While a previous attempt at selling the mansion failed last year, Karlsson told the Svenska Dagbladet newspaper that he was convinced he could find a buyer.
"We're of course talking about a small client base. It could be an international buyer or a Swede who is looking for a bit of a more exclusive property," Karlsson told the newspaper.
"I've had a few phone calls already so I am feeling hopeful."
