With Swedish people ranked on Tuesday as the second happiest in the world, The Local took to the streets of Stockholm and asked Swedes just what exactly was making them so happy.
Ignoring Australians, Swedes are the happiest people in the entire world, at least according to the latest ranking of citizen well-being on the OECD's Better Life Index.

But why exactly are the Swedes so happy? Just what is it about Sweden that makes its people happier than those in the rest of the country's Nordic neighbours?
On a sunny day in Stockholm, we took a stroll around Södermalm to ask locals if they were indeed happy, and more importantly, what made them the happiest.
