The summer-long show, which opened on April 26, showcases visions by gardeners, breeders and landscape architects under the motto “Around the World in 80 Gardens.”

Taking over a park on the river island of Wilhelmsburg, a total of 80 gardens take visitors on a six-kilometre tour through seven different themed worlds, displaying exotic vegetation from all over the earth.

Around 2.5 million visitors are expected at the show - which also includes a variety of cultural, sporting and educational activities - and runs until October 13th.
