Cannibal-case cop fined for hard-core porn
Two years after cannibals were sought to kill his wife and step-daughter, a veteran officer from the Zurich police force has been convicted of possessing violent hard-core pornography.
In a case that is embarrassing law enforcement officials, the 50-year-old policeman, who is also a politician for the Conservative Democratic Party (BDP) in the town of Embrach, was fined 5,400 francs ($5,800) and ordered to pay 3,000 francs in legal costs.
The sentence by a Zurich court from last week was revealed on Monday by the 20 Minuten newspaper.
The policeman was found with images and movies showing sexual acts involving human excrement, as well as pictures of degrading physical abuse and “terrifying violence” against women, the newspaper reported.
He was also found guilty of photographing the bared vagina of his nine-year-old step-daughter while she was sleeping and of storing the image on his computer.
The sentencing follows the man’s earlier arrest for another bizarre matter back in October 2010, 20 Minuten reports.
The policeman was accused of inciting a sadomasochist politician to recruit through the internet a “sadistic master or butcher” to kill his wife and step-daughter.
Close to 40 people responded to the call.
The sadomasochist was arrested on October 6th before being convicted and sentenced in May this year to seven years in prison for plotting murder.
Suspicions in the case fell on the policeman because he was undergoing a difficult divorce with his wife at the time.
While in detention, he told investigators that he was unaware of the actions of the sadomasochist whom he claimed was acting alone.
He was later released for lack of evidence on November 25th 2010.
Amidst the latest developments, the BDP has withdrawn its support for the disgraced politician.
His position at the police force is hanging by a thread, 20 Minuten reports, but for now he remains on the payroll.
