The girl's father, who found his daughter just before she jumped, told radio station RTL: “I said to her ‘what are you doing’, but she said ‘it’s too late, they’re getting to me too much. I can’t take it anymore’”.

Her uncle, Makhlouf Lahouri, found her after she had jumped on top of a car which broke her fall.

“Luckily she landed on her feet and backside. At the moment she’s doing well,” he told media.

“It’s been more than a month since she signalled to her school that she wasn’t doing well - and she must have already been in a bad place to do that.”

The girl had reportedly been harassed by four other girls at the school who told her “whoever is not in our gang is going to get a good beating”.

The school’s prinicple, Christine Gourjux, said: “At the end of September she confided in some of the staff at the school.

“She didn’t want to go to lessons anymore, she didn’t want to come to school.”
