'Finger-biting train station stripper' nabbed
A man was arrested on Sunday night for exhibitionism and biting a policeman's finger so hard it broke, after he allegedly stripped at Braunschweig's main railway station and violently resisted arrest.
Lower Saxony police said the 46-year-old man stripped off completely on the platform, while his girlfriend filmed the performance on her smartphone. That turned out to be a foolish move, as officers confiscated the phone as evidence.
Other passengers were offended by the man's behaviour, and called the police, state broadcaster NDR reported. When officers wanted to take down the details of the now clothed man, police said he turned aggressive and began cursing at them.
He was then arrested, but failed to calm down and reportedly lost his temper when police took his mobile phone.
Once at the police station, he proceeded to jump over the counter and began to take swings at officers. He sustained a head injury, and bit one officer so hard that his finger broke.
State prosecutors have now opened an investigation into the man, from the town of Klötze, on charges of indecent behaviour, grievous bodily harm, resisting arrest and verbal abuse.
