'I have sold Zlatan': AC Milan owner Berlusconi

AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi told Italian media Thursday that he had sold Swedish football megastar Zlatan Ibrahimiovic to French club Paris Saint-Germain, however this has yet to be confirmed by the footballer’s agent.

“There’s nothing to confirm,” said Zlatan’s agent Mino Raiola to the TT news agency on Thursday night.

This comes after a four hour long meeting with representatives of the French club, a meeting which Italian media claims was about Zlatan’s salary.

But later on Thursday night, Milan’s owner Silvio Berlusconi claimed to have indeed sold his star striker.

“I have sold Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva. Through this we save 150 million euros ($183 million) over two years,” he said, according to the Gazetta dello Sport newspaper in Italy.

According to Expressen, Ibrahimovic’s agent will resume discussions with the French club on Friday morning in the hopes of coming to an quick agreement.

Expressen writes Zlatan himself is after 130 million euros per year, but that the French club has only offered 80 million per year, however Raiola denies that it's all about the money.

“I think a lot of this is total bullshit. To say he’s just chasing money, it doesn’t work like that. It’s all about the market," he told Expressen.

"Look at the world’s most expensive paintings like the Mona Lisa and The Scream. Some can just stand and look at the painting and look stupid, but PSG and Manchester City can afford to dream of these paintings.”

Neither of the clubs has come out with an official statement yet.
