The World Series of Poker is the biggest and most prestigious poker event in the world, and the organizers recently announced that 60 final tables of this year’s series in Las Vegas will be streamed over the internet.

Up to three final tables a day will be streamed with commentary from David Tuchman and a rotating group of player analysts. There will be a five-minute delay on the streams, and no hole cards will be shown.

“It doesn't get bigger or better than the World Series of Poker,” said David Tuchman.

“I am excited and humbled to be working with the WSOP to bring the live stream to a hungry and growing audience,” Tuchman added.

The first final table on the streaming schedule is Event 1, the Casino Employees tournament, on May 28th with coverage continuing daily until July 8.

Many Swedish players have reached final tables in the World Series of Poker over the years. Last year, Alexander Anter from Uppsala won a $1,500 No-Limit Holdem tournament and collected $777,928. Every winner of a WSOP event gets a gold bracelet a long with the prize money and Sweden has won six of those throughout the history of the series.

In 2012, online superstar Viktor “Isildur1” Blom will make his first appearance at the World Series in Las Vegas. So far this year, Blom has proven that he is a top-class tournament player by winning the Highroller event at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in Januari, and two events in the ongoing Spring Championship of Online Poker.

“Viktor will definitely be one of the most interesting Swedish players to watch out for at the WSOP, but winning a bracelet is very difficult, so it’s still a long-shot,” said Erik Sylvén, Editor in Chief at PokerListings.se.

“Martin Jacobson, Michael Tureniec, and of course the legendary veteran Christer Björin, who always does well at the WSOP, are three other Swedish players to keep an eye on,” Sylvén added.

“There are many more skillful Swedes out there, so we should at least get a few final table appearances. And I will definitely be watching the streams.”
