According to local police, the crime occurred between one and two o´clock in the morning.

The woman was dragged from a nearby bus stop by the group of men, into the Örnparken parj, where she was pushed onto the icy ground, and then had her underwear pulled off, reported the local newspaper Örnsköldsviks Allehanda.

The woman was then raped by the group of men, and the police have classified the crime as aggravated rape, with an alternative charge of attempted aggravated rape.

"She's been badly shocked by this," said deputy head of investigation Lars-Åke Lemón to the newspaper.

The woman has been too traumatized to give much information to the police, who will soon be speaking to her again in hopes of getting more details.

No suspects have yet been arrested for the crime, and police remain unsure of how many men were involved in the rape.

"But there were several of them," Lars-Åke Lemón told national newspaper Aftonbladet.

The woman was injured by the attack, and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

"She's injured her arms and legs, for instance. She was examined at the hospital but is no longer there," Lemón said to Aftonbladet.

Police are now searching for witnesses who were in the area around the time of the crime.
