The Leipzig Book Fair, which closes Sunday, is Germany's second largest book fair after Frankfurt, but it's not only bookworms who flock to the fair.

There was also something for fans of "Cosplay," short for costume play, who took part in a special competition at the fair.

Cosplay is a type of performance art in which people get dressed up to represent a specific character or idea.

Cosplay fans have flocked to the Leipzig book trade fair for many years now. A competition took place last year and the organizers decided to have one again this year.

The Leipzig fair ran from March 15 - 18. After the first two days, organizers reported an increase in visitors to 64,000 from last year's 62,000, for the initial two days.

Some 100,000 books, including 20,000 new works from 2,071 publishing houses were represented.
