The man, a commissioner at the Solna police station just outside Stockholm, had been charged with sexual harassment for the incident, which came to light in December.

The hidden camera was discovered in the changing room on December 27th by a female police officer-

The woman had returned from a run, taken a shower, and upon bending over had noticed a red flashing light and a camera lens, which she immediately reported to authorities, according to legal trade publication Dagens Juridik.

When confronted, the commissioner confessed to having set up the secret camera.

The man has since has stepped down from his position, and on Tuesday a court fined him the equivalent of 50 days’ pay and ordered him to pay the woman 10,000 kronor ($1,472) in damages.

The judgment specifies that the commissioner’s filming “violated his colleague's sexual privacy”.

Several films, computers, a camera, and a mobile phone were also confiscated.

According to the Swedish police, employees at Solna's police station were all informed about the incident, and were offered professional support.

According to prosecutor Håkan Roswall, it is impossible to prove whether more women were filmed by the hidden camera.
