Missing teen girl found naked in 42-year-old's flat
A Swedish teenage girl, reported missing by her foster parents last week, was found by police officers at the flat of a 42-year-old man in Jönköping, in central Sweden, on Saturday.
”I can't say much of her status right now but she is currently in hospital,” said Lars-Gunnar Rydholm of the Jönköping police to local news site jnytt.se.
The police decided to check out the flat after having received a tip-off. When they called at the flat late in the afternoon on Saturday the 42-year-old man came to the door half-dressed.
When the officers entered the apartment they found the 14-year-old girl there. She was completely naked. The man is now under suspicion for raping a minor.
Officers brought the man in for questioning and the girl was taken straight to hospital.
The apartment was cordoned off immediately and a forensic investigation of the flat was launched. The man was set to be interrogated by police on Saturday afternoon, according to the news site.
According to jnytt.se, police say that the man and the girl did not know each other previously but had allegedly met in a chat room on the internet.
