International students that are applying for university studies in Sweden should from now on apply through the national application portal at www.universityadmissions.se.

Universityadmissions.se provides a searchable database of all degree programs and courses that are available for international applicants. When the application period for Autumn 2012 has started (December 1, 2011), it is through Universityadmissions.se that you send in your online application, pay the application fee (if applicable), follow your application in progress (including sending in the required documentation) — and when you have received your notification of selection results, reply to any offers of admission.

Under the "All you need to know"-tab on Universityadmissions.se you will be guided through the steps of the application process, including the entry requirements, what type of supporting documentation you need to attach to your application and all the important deadlines.

Before you get into the details of the online application process we recommend that you look at the general guidelines about how to apply to higher education in Sweden at Studyinsweden.se.

Please note that the Swedish Institute/Studyinsweden.se is not responsible for university or visa/residence permit applications. If you have questions about your application, or other questions relating to a specific course or program, please contact the relevant agency or university directly, as we are unable to help with these queries.
