King stripper pics likely ‘manipulated’: experts

The “compromising” photographs that ex-strip club owner and reputed gangster Mille Markovic plans to publish of Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf could be faked, according to expert examiners.

“There are aspects within the imagery that throw some doubt on the fact that it is an image that has not been manipulated,“ Clive Burchett, Operations Director at LGC Digital and Document Forensics, told daily Expressen on Friday.

On the behest of the paper, three independent experts have examined the first of the images released by Markovic and published in Expressen on Friday.

They all came to the same conclusion - that it is likely that the image has been at least partly manipulated.

All three also raise questions about the man in the picture, who according to Markovic, is the Swedish king.

The image, which shows a man sitting back and watching undressed women, is taken from analogue video footage. According to experts it seems as if it has been tampered with to enhance the feeling of secret footage.

They also question the footage of the man, claimed by Markovic to be the king.

According to the experts, closer scrutiny would indicate that the man’s face has been switched.

“In some cases content has been obscured and in others it may have been changed. I can’t say for certain but it is my opinion that a male person may have been electronically pasted into the scene,” Burchett said.

At the Royal Court they welcome the investigation carried out by the paper into the authenticity of the images.

“We are happy that a serious investigation of the images have been carried out,” said head of information at the Royal Court, Bertil Ternert, to news agency TT.

The image is the only one of the pictures said to be published in the coming biography on Markovic, which ill be published in January.

Markovic previously told Expressen that more compromising images and video footage will be available on a pay-per-view site after the book has been published.
