“We have questioned him over the course of the day with his defense lawyer present,” confirmed police press spokesman Anders Gillander to Sveriges Radio (SR) on Thursday.

During Thursday morning the 17-year-old victim was still under sedation. However, after surgery, the boy woke up.

“He is awake now since this afternoon and his condition is stable,” said police officer Jenny Rydberg on Thursday.

However, police have still no been able to speak to him.

And despite police interrogations, the 20-year-old is unwilling to talk.

“We haven’t really found out much more. The man continues to deny allegations,” Gillander told SR on Thursday.

The police are not willing to say why they suspect the 20-year-old of being behind the attack or what evidence they have against him.

However, he has previously served two months in jail after participating in an extortion scam against another young man from the area.

The stabbing occurred at a high school in northern Stockholm on Wednesday morning, when several eye-witnesses saw a masked and hooded man stab the 17-year-old student repeatedly in the back before fleeing the scene.
