Two dead in French retirement home blaze
Two people died and a dozen were injured early on Friday when a fire broke out in a retirement home at La Rochefoucauld in the Charente region of southwest France, officials said.
The blaze spread after breaking out in a ground floor room killing two of the 81 pensioners. Twelve more were hospitalised, local officials said.
The reasons for the fire were not immediately known.
