Bayern Munich's pro basketball team is hoping to lure German stars Chris Kaman and Dirk Nowitzki to Bavaria should the NBA season be wiped out following a 100-day lockout of players.

"Kaman is a very interesting player who we could consider if the season is cancelled," said Bayern coach Dirk Bauermann.

"And there would obviously be another interesting man," he added of Dallas Mavericks centre Nowitzki.

Centre Kaman, 29, plays for Los Angeles Clippers.

NBA players and club owners face losses of hundreds of millions of dollars as the lockout reached its 100th day with a Monday deadline to save season openers.

Team owners and players have not been able to agree on how to divide $3.8

billion in annual revenues and on salary cap issues, the gap so wide it could jeopardize the entire 2011-2012 campaign.
