Evangelista demands $46,000 child support
Former supermodel Linda Evangelista stunned a New York court with a demand of $46,000 a month in child support for her son fathered by Francois-Henri Pinault, one of France's wealthiest men.
The presiding Manhattan magistrate was astonished by the demand, calling it "probably the largest support order in the history of the Family Court," the New York Post reported.
Evangelista, who once famously uttered the words "we don't wake up for less than $10,000 a day", reportedly demanded the enormous payment to look after Augustin, 4, at a hearing on Monday. The court document is not public and her lawyer did not respond to a request for comment.
Pinault, the billionaire mogul husband of actress Salma Hayek, heads the PPR luxury goods conglomerate whose brands include Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent.
