The career of the latest winner of Heidi Klum's “Germany’s Next Top Model” television show is in jeopardy after reports that her modelling management agency has terminated her contract.

On its website, Oneeins Management, which handles the bookings of many of the TV show’s winners, said that Jana Beller’s behaviour had made “professional cooperation impossible,” without going into further details.

But Günther Klum, who works for the agency as well as being Heidi Klum’s father, told the Bild newspaper that the real problem had been Beller’s boyfriend.

“The problem with Jana was her boyfriend Dimitri, who told us he would have the final say on everything,” Klum told the newspaper. “Dimitri probably thinks he can manage Jana alone now. To put it mildly, I find his behaviour very strange.”

He added that Beller and her boyfriend have refused to respond to his emails, letters or faxes.

Beller told Bild Monday that’s she’s “fine.”

“I’m glad its all over,” she said. “I’m following my dream to have an international career.”

A spokesman for ProSieben, the television network which broadcasts “Germany’s Next Top Model,” said the decision had been taken independent of the network.

“We understand why the Oneeins management took this step. We wish Jana all the best,” the spokesman said.

Beller, a 20-year-old who was born in Russia but grew up in Germany, has garnered attention lately for her supposedly erratic behaviour.

Der Spiegel reported that Beller recently skipped out on an appearance at a Stuttgart fashion house and last month failed to show up as expected during Berlin’s Fashion Week. She has also cancelled several modelling commitments without explanation.

She shot to fame on the sixth edition of “Germany’s Next Top Model,” which concluded earlier this year. Previous winners, including Lene Gercke and Jennifer Hof have gone on to successful television hosting and fashion modelling careers.
