Hackers used a graphic photograph of a man's naked buttocks to attack a popular website about Stockholm's nightlife, singling out some of the site's popular female bloggers in the cyber attack.

“Someone uploaded an obscene image on the margins of all of our blogs,” Alexander Erwik, editor of Finest.se, told the Dagens Media newspaper.

In addition, the blogs of model and reality television star Linda Thelenius (nee Rosing) and television presenter Katrin Zytomierskas were completely erased.

“The picture was up for 30 to 35 minutes before we managed to shut down the site,” said Erwik, adding that Finest.se has remained offline throughout the day Monday.

According to Erwik, the image, which appeared late Sunday night, features a close-up view of a man's naked behind and appears to have been inspired by a well-known picture which has circulated on the internet for years, commonly known as “goatsee”.

He explained that Finest.se suffered an initial cyber attack last week in which posts on Thelenius's blog were changed to include drug and sexual-related content.

Finest.se, which is jointly owned by a number of popular Stockholm nightspots, including Café Opera and Solidaritet, features photo galleries from Stockholm nightlight.

The site is also home to the blogs of several well-known Swedish bloggers such as Katrin Zytomierska and Linda Thelenius.

Erwik theorized on Monday that the acts of cyber-vandalism were some sort of coordinated personal attack against Thelenius.

"It's no fun when you put your whole life into something only to have someone come and just spit on it like this," he told Dagens Media.

Erwik added that he hopes the attacks won't have any lasting effects on Finest.se or its team of popular bloggers.

Speaking with news website Nyheter24, he said he had a fairly good idea of who was behind the attack, but refused to elaborate.

"We're obviously going to report this to police," he told the website.
