Two dead in Stockholm helicopter crash
Two people have died after a small helicopter crashed just north of Stockholm early on Saturday afternoon.
The autogyro aircraft hit ground at Snesslingby in Norrtälje, 65 kilometres north of Stockholm.
"We think it was out for a training flight," said air rescue chief Annika Vestergård. "People have told us they heard the engine faltering and saw the helicopter go down.
Police said there was a fire at the site where the aircraft landed leading to the closure of route 276.
