Malmö men robbed by nighttime femmes fatales

Police in southern Sweden are on the hunt for two women in their mid-twenties who are alleged to have targeted three young men at Malmö nightclubs, leaving them drugged, disorientated and relieved of their valuables.

"The perpetrators have shown complete disregard for their victims by drugging them with an unidentified substance. We are working frantically to solve this," said Lennart Sverremo at Malmö police.

One of the alleged criminal duo's victims, 25-year-old Tim Ögren, has said that he is considering moving from his apartment after an evening at downtown nightclub Étage left him empty handed.

"An attractive girl came over and flirted with me. She was very forward. I just thought to myself that she found me attractive," Ögren told TV3's crime watch programme Efterlyst, which will feature his case on Wednesday.

Ögren later met the woman at a bus stop and invited her home to his apartment in the plush Västra Hamnen area of the city. After accepting her offer of a drink from a bottle of vodka that she had with her in her handbag, he felt dizzy and blacked out.

When he awoke at 4.30 in the afternoon he found to his horror that his apartment had been swept clean of valuables, including his television, computer and amplifier.

The 25-year-old's story mirrors the experience of two other men who have reported falling victim to the alleged night time femmes fatales and police suspect that they may be further men with a story to tell.

"We suspect that there may be more victims of the women's nightclub advances. There can be a reluctance to report crimes of this type," Lennart Sverremo said.

The two women suspects are described as a blonde and brunette in their late twenties and speaking with a local dialect. Malmö police haven't ruled out that they may be working as part of a larger gang.
