Swedish CEO under fire for naked Xmas greeting

The CEO of a taxi firm in Örebro in central Sweden has been criticised for his lewd choice of Christmas greeting sent out to staff.

Staff of the "well-known" local firm were challenged to match the naked women with the correct telephonist in a Christmas greeting sent by email, the local Nerikes Allehanda daily reported on Friday, citing the union publication Transportarbetaren.

The man informed staff in the mass email that he had managed to persuade the telephonists to bare their G string-clad posteriors while bending provocatively over a desk, challenging recipients to identify their colleagues in a multiple choice brain-teaser.

The unorthodox greeting was not however appreciated by all of the firms' staff.

"We couldn't believe it. It was not even funny," said one female employee to the newspaper.

The CEO is reported to have seen the error of his ways and issued a formal apology for the gaff. The transport workers union, which was informed of the mail after the Christmas weekend, is however continuing to investigate the matter.

"It is an ongoing matter," Patrik Kihlberg at the union told the newspaper, adding that the union has been obliged to discuss claims of sexism at the firm with the CEO on several prior occasions.

The firm's chairperson confirmed to Nerikes Allehanda that the CEO has lost the confidence of the board and implied that his days in charge may be numbered.
