Swedish international striker Johan Elmander's fifth goal of the season helped the Bolton Wanderers clinch a 1-1 draw against Wigan Athletic in their Premier League clash on Saturday.

Elmander's 66th-minute goal cancelled out Colombia's Hugo Rodallega Martínez's 59th minute effort that saw both sides maintain their recent run of good form.

Bolton have lost just one of their nine Premier League matches this season, while Wigan have recovered well after a dire start with Saturday's draw extending their unbeaten run to four games.

Rodallega struck in the 59th minute after being set up by Franco di Santo, the Argentinean international striker fired a cleanly hit shot past Finland's Jussi Jääskeläinen.

However, Bolton were level seven minutes later as Elmander shot home from close range, giving England's Chris Kirkland no chance in the Wigan goal to maintain his extraordinary record of scoring all his five goals away from home.

The goals livened up what had been a game of few chances. Rodallega's two efforts in the first half and a shot from Bolton's Martin Petrov from Bulgaria and a header from Kevin Davies had been the sum total of goalmouth action in the first-half.

Elmander joined Bolton in June 2008, signing a three-year deal for an £8.2 million (85.2 million kronor, $12.85 million) fee following a move from Toulouse.
