Bather feared dead after collision with jet ski

Police fear that a young man may have died after being hit by a jet ski on a lake outside Avesta in central Sweden on Saturday.
”We’ve called off the search but will resume later on Sunday. We’ve dived in the lake and searched along the beaches but we haven’t found him. We fear he may have drowned,” said police sergeant Christer Nelefelt.
A number of onlookers watched in horror as the young man was hit by the jet ski on Lake Bäsingen. The driver, a young woman, was taken to hospital to be treated for shock. She is suspected of driving the craft while under the influence of alcohol.
