The red-green coalition is seen as having the best policies for healthcare and the environment, according to the survey.

The proportion who believe that Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt of the Moderate Party will hold on to power has increased by seven percentage points since the February poll. A total of 37 percent now believe Reinfeldt will remain in office, while 44 percent think that opposition leader Mona Sahlin of the Social Democrats will form the next government after the election. Since the previous poll, she has lost 10 percentage points.

Another Novus Opinion poll published by both TV4 and Aftonbladet on Friday showed that voters continue to have a high opinion of Green Party spokeswoman Maria Wetterstrand. Only Reinfeldt enjoys higher approval ratings. Wetterstrand's approval ratings are significantly higher than the ratings enjoyed by the party, which opened its annual congress on Friday in Uppsala.

According to TV4, only 15 percent of respondents expressed confidence or very strong confidence in the party's ability to govern. Regarding its ability to tackle employment questions, 19 percent expressed confidence in the Green Party. A total of 46 percent said they have little or very little confidence in the party's ability to manage the economy. Not surprisingly, the party scored highest on issues pertaining to the environment and climate change at 55 percent compared to 18 percent who showed little confidence.

"I really think we are worthy of greater confidence on the economy," Green Party spokesman Peter Eriksson told TV4 News. "We have taken on a great responsibility for the last eight years and presented joint budgets with the Social Democrats and Left Party."

The survey was conducted with 1,000 respondents from May 6th to 10th.
