Police rescue green-eyed lover caught up in tree house drama
A jealous wife became stuck in her son’s tree house hideaway after running off with her husband’s mobile to secretly check his text messages, newspaper Kvällsposten reports. The phone came in handy when she was forced to call police to aid her escape.
The woman from Skåne, southern Sweden, called police in the early hours of Friday morning explaining she was stuck in her son’s tree house.
When officers arrived on the scene they understood she had sneaked out with her husband’s mobile phone after a bout of envy over an alleged flirt with another woman.
“She went through his phone and, from what I understand, found a text message that she didn’t like,” Martin Carlsson from Skåne police told Kvällsposten.
“It is probably one of the strangest call-outs I have been involved in,” he added.
Throughout the incident her husband remained none the wiser to his wife’s distress signal.
“We helped her down after a while,” Carlsson said. “She thanked us and ran back into the house where her husband was still sleeping.”
