Gothenburg man critical after knifing

A 40-year-old man has received multiple stab wounds after being attacked with a knife in an apartment in the Gothenburg suburb of Biskopsgården, on Hisingen island, on Monday night.
He was rushed to Sahlgrenska Hospital early on Tuesday morning, where his condition is reportedly critical.
Police have not been able to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, as the injured man is unable to speak. A forensic investigation has commenced this morning in the apartment. Gothenburg Police will conduct a door-knock of the area during the day.
“One other person was in the apartment when the knife attack occurred,” said Thomas Fuxborg, press spokesman of the police in Västra Götaland. The person fled from the apartment after the attack and the search for the suspect is ongoing.
