Swedish television presenter and former Big Brother contestant Carolina Gynning has sold her silicone implants and is donating the proceeds to charity.

Gynning, 30, announced on her blog on Friday that her "private assets" would be sold for "1,000 kronor per onion" ($137) to whoever wrote her the most interesting few lines on the true nature of beauty.

Though the contest sparked considerable interest, Gynning retracted the offer on Sunday and revealed that the plastic breasts would be bought by her boyfriend, Mattias Trotzig, who "doesn't want anyone else to gain access to my chest."

The bubbly presenter said she also planned to offload other items in her possession that had not previously been attached to her body, such as Gucci bags and Louboutin shoes, with the money raised going to various development aid projects.

More than two years have passed since Gynning underwent surgery to have her implants removed.

"Everybody talks about them and it feels like they hide my true identity," she said at the time.

The former model marked her transformation from double-D to C-cup with a high profile photo shoot, in which she was snapped in her hospital bed with her breasts taped up and a bloody implant in each hand.
