Sleeping man hit by train incurs minor head wound
Taking a nap on railroad tracks may not be the smartest way to sleep off a hangover, but a man in western Sweden who only sustained a small wound after being hit by a train might consider himself lucky.
The man was run over by a train on a stretch of railroad tracks outside of Borås early on Sunday morning. The driver of the train feared the worst and a police car was dispatched to the scene.
“They found a sleeping man on the side of the tracks with a small gash on his forehead. He had woken up when the train came, raised his head and hit it on a metal object on the train. Then he went back to sleep,” Sven Persson of the Västra Götaland police told TT.
The man was taken to the hospital in Borås to have his wound dressed.
