A bistro, bar and restaurant, Mårten Trotzig restaurant was named after a former owner of the historical brick building, born in 1559. Visitors can take a spot at their bar and sip on cocktails, or have a restaurant table and enjoy some of their famous cuisine (think pork belly, beef with béarnaise sauce, elk meatballs with lingonberries or blackened salmon). Their dining room has an open fire (for cold winter days) and a view of the Mårten Trotzig alley, the narrowest street in the Old Town at 90 cm wide in spots. If you’re planning a large party, they offer a group room for up to 22 guests. If peace and quiet is what you’re after, don’t miss their garden courtyard behind the restaurant. See www.martentrotzig.se for further information and photos.
