Police patrol called to check penguins' papers
Holidaymakers by a lake in Bavaria called the police when they saw a man swimming and splashing around in the water with two penguins.
Police in Kempten, near the Niedersonthofener Lake, confirmed on Sunday that officers had been called to check out the situation and had found the man and the penguins enjoying the cool water.
The 58-year-old man runs a mini-circus which was parked nearby – and stars the two penguins.
He had all the necessary documentation with him, telling officers he had often been checked before when taking the birds out for a swim.
