“The biological father, mother, and grandmother went there, took the girl and took off,” said Sörmland police spokesperson Göran Risberg to the TT news agency.

No one was injured when the three took the baby around 2pm on Wednesday.

“There was no violence so no one got hurt and there weren’t any weapons, but the foster mother was home alone so there really wasn’t much she could do.”

Now police are looking for the baby and are hoping that residents in neighbouring areas can provide assistance in the matter.

“But we have no idea where they are,” said Risberg.

According to the Eskilstuna-Kuriren newspaper, the case has been classified as a serious case of arbitrary conduct with a child.
