Ibrahimovic became only the second Swede to top the Italian scoring charts after putting away his 24th and 25th goals of the season. The goals were enough to beat off the competition on the final day of the Serie A season with Bologna's Marco di Vaio and Genoa's Diego Milito ending on 24 goals apiece.

Ibrahimovic scored the first of his goals on 12 minutes as the game was tied 1-1. He ran in behind the Atalanta defence, latched on to a long pass, and slotted the ball into the net past an advancing Andrea Consigli.

Atalanta responded with goals by Cigarini and Doni to leave the game 3-2 in their favour in the later stages when Cambiasso clawed one back for Inter on 79 minutes.

Inter had already been declared champions but all that remained was for Ibrahimovic to win the golden boot - the first Swede to claim the presitigious title since Gunnar Nordahl in 1955.

The game continued to swing Inter's way when in the 81st minute Ibrahimovic battled with two Atalanta defenders for the ball after a cross into the box from Hernan Crespo.

Twisting and turning, and with his back to goal, he did what few others can, back-heeling the ball past the stunned goalkeeper to secure victory for Inter, and become "Il capo cagnoneri" to top off a fantastic season for the Swede.

It remains likely these will be the last goals that Ibrahimovic scores for Inter as media reports continue to link him with a string of top European clubs, with Spanish champions Barcelona named as the Swedish striker's most recent suitors.
