Unpaid stonemason reclaims gravestone
When a stonemason did not receive payment for his work he took the law into his own hands and repossessed the grave stone from churchyard in Gnosjö in southern Sweden.
The common-law wife of the deceased has now in turn reported the stonemason to the police for theft, according to local media reports.
"You can not steal something that is already yours," the stonemason, who despite repeated reminders remains out of pocket for his work, told Sveriges Radio Jönköping.
The grave is now decorated by only a flower arrangement and a plinth.
The gravestone cost 10,000 kronor ($1,318). According to reports a dispute among relatives of the deceased is the reason behind why payment has been held up.
