Record warmth in April
In many parts of Sweden, summer has already come calling, according to the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI)
Summer temperatures have already arrived in Götaland and most of Svealand, much earlier than usual.
The line between spring and summer can sometimes be difficult to draw, but when the average daily temperature exceeds 10 degrees for a long period of time, then it's summer, at least according to SMHI.
"That means that on average, April in Västra Götaland was a summer month. Gothenburg had the highest average temperature at 10.4 degrees, and we've never had an average monthly temperature that was above 10 degrees in April," said Sverker Hellström, meteorologist at SMHI.
But the record temperatures were not to be found in all corners of the country.
"In Norrland, April was also warmer than normal but was nowhere near these record highs," said Hellström.
