Malmö club and concert tips: Saturday, April 18
The Djungeltrumman club editor's tips.
Blades Disco Club
Address: Retro, Norra Skolgatan 24
10pm - 3am
Free entry
Age: 20 and over
The best way to use a cellar is to put a disco club in it. This is something that Dansmusen and Ida Session have understood as they prepare to welcome Möllan bohemians and disco gurus to four nights of disco this season. And the best thing is: it's free.
Mission
Address: Chokladfabriken, Bergsgatan 33
Midnight - 5am
80 kronor
Age: 18 and over
Mission has unfortunately become associated with a seedy, lawless place behind KB whose glory days ended the moment Mission walked out the door. But these are new techno times and fresh, lawful winds are blowing as Mission moves in to the top floor of Chokladfabriken. Exciting DJ bookings, projector shows, lasers and smoke will all help make this a favourite among the club kids.
KB/Nightclub
Address: Kulturbolaget, Bergsgatan 18
11.30pm – 4am
80 kronor (20 kronor before 12.30am)
Age: 20 and over
When the concert’s over and you’re stuck in some bar, your friends can’t decide where to go next and you want to go clubbing but can’t decide between house and radio hits, then it’s a dead cert you’ll end up here. KB’s Nightclub is a bit of everything without being too much of anything, a safe bet in a nightclub world where one fad fast replaces the next. You know what you’ll be getting at KB: a musical mixed bag with a vague pop/rock direction and friendly people who, like you, don’t really know how they got here.
