Inseparable Anglophiles Robert Plaszczyk and Magnus Carlson (Weeping Willows) run the incredibly popular Bangers'n'Mash club together with former Ride guitarist and current Oasis bassist Andy Bell

Every second Saturday they get the dancefloor moving to the baggiest Madchester, singalong Britpop and ravetastic acid house for all the Stockholm geezers in need of more excitement in their lives.

They have also brought over a steady flow of celebrities from England, including previous guests Mani, Peter Hook, Carl Barat, Dot Allison and Ian McCulloch.

Blondie

Down among the graffiti-covered stone walls, the candlelit darkness, thick dry ice, red leather sofas and curious images of skeletons and popes, Stockholm legend Tommie X opens the doors every Friday night to his wonderfully decadent club, Blondie.

The club is a coming together of the gays and the fag hags, the media old timers and the nineteen year old barflies, bewigged anorexic monsters and confused but happy indie poppers and fashionistas.

There is room for everybody here, whether you want to dance 'til you sweat to life-affirming eurodisco or sit and make out in the black sofas.

YES!

Address: Mosebacke, Mosebacke Torg 3

9pm - 2am

YES! is, in all likelihood, the best and most ambitious hip-hop club in town. At least once a month Mosebacke is filled to bursting with people dancing, breakdancing and listening to the very best of hip-hop, along with a generous helping of breakbeats, house, R&B and soul.

The residents here are Pure P, Flaite and Don Dada and the guests are often well-known foreign stars and promising Swedish talents, either playing DJ sets or performing live.

When summer comes around, the club spills out onto the big outdoor terrace with a phenomenal view out over the whole of Stockholm.

Tonight

DJ Noize and Chris Read.
