Every second Saturday they get the dancefloor moving to the baggiest Madchester, singalong Britpop and ravetastic acid house for all the Stockholm geezers in need of more excitement in their lives.

Blondie

Free entry

Age: 18 and over

Down among the graffiti-covered stone walls, the candlelit darkness, thick dry ice, red leather sofas and curious images of skeletons and popes, Stockholm legend Tommie X opens the doors every Friday night to his wonderfully decadent club, Blondie.

The club is a coming together of the gays and the fag hags, the media old timers and the nineteen year old barflies, bewigged anorexic monsters and confused but happy indie poppers and fashionistas.

There is room for everybody here, whether you want to dance 'til you sweat to life-affirming eurodisco or sit and make out in the black sofas.

Live: Amazing Baby (US) and Joensuu 1685.

Klubb Idyll

Address: Landet, LM Ericssons Väg 27

7pm - 1am

30 kronor (20 kronor for members, free until 9pm)

Age: 18 and over

Website

Queer club Idyll has left the miniscule surroundings of El Mundo bar for the larger Landet at Telefonplan. But the concept remains the same as before.

One weekend a month the club serves up dance, sweat, sexy electro and electronic orgasms in equal measure.

There is almost always some form of cultural activity early in the evening - a book release and reading, speed dating, or a workshop - before the disco gets underway.

Tonight

Erotic theme night with DJ Astral Bambi! and Slut Soundsystem.
