Swede charged with child sex assault in US

A 33-year-old man from Malmö has been indicted in the United States on eight counts of sexual assault of a child, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times reports.
Jonny Jakobsson travelled from Malmö to the coastal city of Corpus Christus in south Texas in October last year.
Ten days after his arrival, Jakobsson was arrested in his hotel room. Police also found a half naked 16-year-old girl in the room who had been reported missing. The Swede is suspected of sexually assaulting the girl.
Each count of which he is charged carries a maximum sentence of twenty years, according to the Corpus Christi Caller-Times.
