Colombian cocaine by mail earns Münster man 7 years prison

A 53-year-old German man who had seven kilogrammes (15.4 pounds) of Colombian cocaine shipped to him in Münster, just got his receipt, a court in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia said late on Thursday.
The brazen order earned the man seven years in prison – one year for each kilo, the Münster county court ruled.
The April 2008 delivery was officially registered as stereo equipment, but customs officials at the London airport discovered the package. Authorities did not decide to confiscate the €600,000 booty straight away, though. Instead a German police officer dressed as a delivery man carrying an empty package.
When the man opened the door to receive the package, he was immediately arrested, authorities said.
