Another man with gunshot wounds was found by police in Hisingen on the outskirts of Gothenburg, far from the scene of the murder.

It remains unclear exactly what caused the shooting and what actually took place beneath the glow of the streetlamps where the dead man lay when police arrived.

One account holds that six to eight people were standing in a group, with one person laying motionless on the ground.

When police arrived there were two visibly upset people remaining at the scene, but as of late on Thursday night police still weren’t sure whether they were witnesses or part of the original group.

According to police, the victim was hit by one or more shots to the stomach. He was covered with a blanket as the search for his killer began.

Approximately 15 minutes after the first call, police received information about another man with gunshot wounds located in Hisingen.

A motorist reported that he drove the man to Hisingen and police found him bleeding near the Kyrkbyn district, a few kilometres from central Hisingen.

He was taken to the emergency room at Sahlgrenska Hospital where a spokesperson told the Göteborgs-Posten newspaper that the man was in a serious, but stable condition.

There is no information about what caused the feud which resulted in gunfire, whether others were involved, and if so, who they are.

Neither of the two shooting victims had been identified as of late Thursday evening and police were still trying to determine the exact course of events and what the connection between the two may have been.
